Almost all of us have wanted to lose weight at one time at another but to try to lose 10 pounds in 3 days is not the way to maintain a healthy weight. While this may be convenient it is not necessarily the best thing to do if you are looking to maintain a healthy weight. Eat only at regular meal times and not in front of the TV. Eat each mouthful slowly and make sure you stop when you are full. This may sound obvious but more people will eat whatever they prepare and whatever is on their plate, regardless of whether or not they are hungry. Learn to know when you are hungry and only eat at that time, prepare a small meal, eat your meal slowly, and stop when you are full. This will enable you to lose pounds without going on a strict, difficult to maintain, diet.

If you want to lose 10 pounds quickly try these simple changes to your diet:

Stop eating between meals. The calories in snacks can quickly add up. If you must eat something have a small piece of fruit.

Remove the visible fat from meat and the skin from chicken before cooking it. Although the fat in meat adds to the flavour, it also adds significantly to your calorie intake.

Go easy on the nuts. Although nuts are highly nutritious they are also very high in fat. Don't stop eating nuts but be careful to keep your intake fairly low.

These are just a few options to help you to lose weight. It's important to remember that once you have lost the weight you'll need to maintain your new eating habits if you want to keep it off.
